‘Nobody’ from Iran to go to St. Louis Film Festival

Iran animation ‘Nobody’ is to go on screen at the 27th Annual Whitaker St. Louis Int'l Film Festival in the US.

Iranian short animation ‘Nobody’ has been selected to go on screen at the 27th edition of the Annual Whitaker St. Louis International Film Festival (SLIFF) in the US.

The animation will be screened during Kids Family Shorts 2 program at The Gathering hall in St. Louis, Missouri, the US, on November 4, 2018.

Directed by Elham Toroqi, ‘Nobody’ tells the story of a white cat living in city of black residents. The cat tries hard to get food but no one seems bothered to give any.

The flick has so far attended a number of international animation festivals, including the 22nd ANIMAC International Film Festival in Spain, the 11th ANIMANIMA International Animation Festival in Serbia, the 7th Tour International Film festival in Italy, the Animation Nights New York in the US, as well as the 8th Lift-Off Global Network Film Festival and the 1st Bute Street Film Festival in the UK.

The 1st Shenandoah Seasonal Film Festival in the US, the 15th Palace International Short Film Festival in Bulgaria, the 2nd Indie Best Films Festival in the US, and the 5th Korca International Film Festival in Albania are among the recent global experiences of ‘Nobody’.

After winning a mention at the 2018 Florida Animation Festival in the US, ‘Nobody’ will also be screened at the 14th International Festival of Animated Films for Children in Slovakia.

The SLIFF is an annual film festival in St. Louis, Missouri, which has been running since 1992. The coordinating organization changed its name to "Cinema St. Louis" in 2003.

The festival screens approximately 300 films over a period of 10 days during November. The 27th edition of the SLIFF is slated for November 1-11, 2018.
